# Product Catalog

Welcome to your Product Management Hub! Before diving into creating and managing your products, we have a friendly piece of advice to ensure a smooth and efficient experience.

#### Why Create Categories and Attributes First?

Creating products is a breeze when you have a well-organized system in place. By setting up your categories and attributes beforehand, you streamline the product creation process and avoid unnecessary back-and-forth between different sections. This approach not only saves you time but also helps maintain a consistent and organized product catalog.

#### Benefits of Setting Up Categories and Attributes First:

* **Efficiency:** Quickly assign products to categories and attributes without pausing to create new ones.
* **Consistency:** Ensure that all products follow a uniform structure, making it easier for customers to find what they need.
* **Ease of Management:** Simplify the process of updating and managing your product catalog.

#### Getting Started

1. **Create Categories:** Organize your products into a tree format with main categories and subcategories.
2. **Set Up Attributes:** Define attributes like size, color, and other specifications, and add relevant terms.

By following these steps, you’ll have a robust foundation that makes product creation seamless and hassle-free.

Happy organizing, and let’s get started with building your perfect product catalog!

# Create categories

Organizing your products into categories helps customers easily navigate your Pop-Up store and find what they’re looking for.

#### Step 1: Navigate to the Categories Section

* Log in to your Wandace account.
* Go to **Product Catalog** in the main menu.
* Click on **Categories**.

#### Step 2: Add a New Category

* Click on the **Create Category** button.
* Fill in the category details:

  * **Name:** Enter the category name.
  * **Description:** Provide a brief description of the category.
  * **Image**: Upload an image for the category.

  ⚠️ Adding an image is highly recommended. The category image will be displayed in your Pop-Up store, making your storefront more visually appealing and easier to navigate.

<figure><img src="/files/8Rpag32fR87nDLiz4xxu" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

#### Step 3: Organize Categories in a Tree Format

To create a tree structure, you can assign parent categories to your new category. This allows you to create subcategories and organize your products more efficiently.

**Parent Category:** (Optional) Select a parent category if creating a subcategory. If you do not select a parent category, the new category will be a top-level category.

* Example of a tree structure:
  * **Top-Level Category:** Men's Clothing
    * **Subcategory:**
      * **Subcategory:** Shirts
      * **Subcategory:** Pants
      * **Subcategory:** Jerseys

#### Step 4: Control Category Visibility in Your Pop-Up Store

You can choose whether a category is **visible** in your Pop-Up store.

This is especially useful for:

* Seasonal categories (e.g., Valentine’s Day, Christmas)
* Limited-time collections
* Temporary campaigns

If a category is hidden, it will not appear in your Pop-Up store navigation, but it will remain available inside your admin panel.

This gives you flexibility to activate or deactivate categories depending on the season or promotion.

#### Step 5: Save the Category

1. Review the details.
2. Click **Save** to create the category.

#### Step 6: Managing Existing Categories

From the Categories section, you can:

* **View** existing categories
* **Edit** a category by clicking on its name and updating the details
* **Delete** a category by clicking on the trash icon

⚠️ Be cautious when deleting a category. Deleting a category will also remove all its subcategories and may affect associated products.

Changes are saved automatically once attributes are selected.

<figure><img src="/files/nYx0UoRNoVtk80sWFnte" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

#### **Step 3:** Add Variants

* Click the **Add Variants** button.

### Additional Settings: Selectors

Selectors allow you to offer paid extras or customization options without creating additional variants.

They are ideal for upgrades such as:

* Premium finishes
* Gift wrapping
* Engraving
* Add-ons
* Extra ingredients
* Personalization options

Unlike variants (which create different product versions like size or color), selectors add optional or required upgrades to a product.

Selectors are configured inside the product editor under the **Selectors** tab.

#### &#x20;Step 1: Open the Product and Go to Selectors

* Log in to your Wandace account.
* Go to **Product Catalog** → **Products**.
* Click the product you want to update.
* Open the **Selectors** tab.

<figure><img src="/files/cViDYcBYrAKGjvv6NEoO" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

#### Step 2: Choose the Selector Type

Under “Configure how customers can select upgrades,” choose the selector type you want:

* Click **Create selector** under **Single choice** if the customer must pick one option (e.g., “Choose your filling”).
* Click **Create selector** under **Multiple choice** if the customer can pick multiple upgrades (e.g., “Add extra toppings”).
* Click **Create selector** under **Optional choice** if the selection is optional (e.g., “Gift wrapping”).

A new selector card will appear below.

#### Step 3: Add Options to the Selector

1. In the selector card, click **+ Add option**.
2. Enter the option details:
   * **Option name** (e.g., “Gift wrapping”)
   * **Price adjustment** (e.g., +€5.00, or +$0.00 if free)
3. Save the option.

Repeat this step to add as many options as needed.

#### Step 4: Set a Default Option (Optional)

To speed up checkout, you can set a default option:

* Find the option you want as default.
* Use the option controls to **Mark as default** (you’ll see a “Marked as default” label once applied).

💡 Tip: Default options are helpful when most customers choose the same upgrade.

#### Step 5: Edit or Delete Selectors and Options

On the selector card, you can manage everything at any time:

* Use the **edit (pencil)** icon to rename or adjust selector settings.
* Use the **delete (trash)** icon to remove a selector.
* Each option can also be **edited** or **deleted** using its corresponding icons.

⚠️ If you delete a selector, it will no longer appear in the Pop-Up store for that product.

#### Step 6: Confirm How It Appears in Your Pop-Up Store

Once selectors are created:

* Customers will see them on the product page in your Pop-Up store.
* **Required selectors** must be completed before the product can be added to the cart.
* Price adjustments will automatically update the final price.
